The 40s
Interesting conversation this weekend with one of my members. Topic was the 40s and the number of them, Current known 40s is 4 however we went through the list of fish that could be or should be 40 plus as well. So I thought I would go through the Albums and see what I could find ! There are also a few that are missing and so I will update this as and when we find the pictures and the last times weight, Or when they get caught again !. But it’s amazing how some of these fish will go missing for a couple of years and come out at a lake record.. (Actually read my previous post and that I suppose answers it ! )
Orca named after her split dorsal fin and last out at 42.10
For obvious reasons !, Last out at 42.9, normally out around twice a year, but this year she has made around 5 appearances, Hoping she will now go missing for 6 months
One of my Sutton Leney leathers, and the largest of 6 in the Lakes, Called “The Almost” as apart from a few scales its almost a completely nude leather, But genetically it is a leather carp. Last out at 42lb
An amazing fish, stocked at 9lb and its length is incredible. Again one that doesn’t come out that often and I think will make some huge weights in the future. Last out at 41.12
Named after being held in the stocking pictures by Viv from VS and it basically became Vivs Mirror. What a fish, Last out at 39.2 Imagine this at 50 plus !
A proper lump and named for obvious reasons, last out at 38.8 back in August 2018
Named due to a hole in its dorsal fin that is a perfect hole ! A huge gain this year and last out at 39.7 on the 8th August.
Another one our favorites and last out at 39lb on October 11th after gaining 4lbs in 2 months (This picture was the 35lb shot as the 39lb was a night shot and a repeat capture for Paul in this picture)
Another breeze block of a fish and one I had high hopes on, Seems to have stalled a bit at the 37lb mark but huge potential for this fish.
